    This report establishes that SpillFix Industrial Organic Absorbent is a highly stable and suitable for use in a

    wide range of hazardous spill applications. The inert nature of the media does not cause any reaction with unstable liquid chemicals.  SpillFix can be classified as Not Readily Combustible Solid.

  •  Degradation of hydrocarbon waste

    An independent study by Geoff Cresswell on the suitability of SpillFix as an industrial absorbent formulated from coir in comparison with cotton waste absorbent. Also shown in this document is a material comparison with Diatomite clay used in many traditional absorbents.

  •  SpillFix Landfill Leachate Report

    This report establishes that Spillfix is well below the acceptable EPA leachate testing limits for landfill disposal as specified under: • Toxicity characteristic leaching procedure (TCLP) • Total Threshold Limit Concentration (TTLC) • Soluble Threshold Limit Concentration (STLC).

  •  SpillFix Grease Trap Report

    In this report it is explained how SpillFix Solidifier®  offers significant cost savings over wood shavings for solidifying grease trap waste because less material is required and because less waste volume is generated.  It provided superior easy of use and minimizes odors.

  •  Paint Absorption Analysis

    The following finding conclude that SpillFix (made from coconut husks) is a more affective cleaning solution for paint and coatings than any solvent or procedure. SpillFix

    presents not only an environmentally responsible alternative to (wet) clean up, but a more economical alternative.

  •   Hydrogen Peroxide Inactivation

    The ability of SpillFix, a coir based product, to contain and inactivate a solution of Oxonia Active was compared with that of three other chemical absorbents –perlite, zeolite and cotton waste. SpillFix was clearly superior in most of the measured parameters.


    This study was done to identify any risks that might eventuate if an absorbent used to treat a spill of a chlorine bleach was to come in contact with an absorbent used to treat a vinegar spill.
